Liverpool Football Club
Liverpool FC are the most successful club in the English leagues.
Although Liverpool Football Club was founded in 1892, their big successes didn't come until nearly sixty years later. In 1959, the club were languishing in Division 2 of the English Football League when Bill Shankly took charge as manager of the club. From that moment on, Liverpool went in to top gear winning a stunning three Championship wins, two FA Cup wins as well as the UEFA Cup.
Bill Shankley left the clup in 1974 but the success didn't stop when he was gone. Liverpool were one of the most dominant forces in the English League up until the early 1990's. Although their success has dwindled in recent years, the thought of an away clash at Anfield is still enough to rattle the nerves of even the best players.
